Hi! My name is Bronagh, and I am one of the new UK Young Ambassadors for Structured Dialogue and European Policy. I’m 18 years old, I recently completed my A levels, and I’m hoping to begin university in the Autumn. Living near the UK’s only land border, and being a member of the first generation to grow up in post conflict Northern Ireland, I have always had an awareness of the importance of politics for young people. I am passionate about globalism, cross border dialogue, and youth engagement. Last year I represented my country as part of Euroscola at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, and was a delegate at the TABU conflict resolution programme in Chicago. I was also the Chair of the UK Youth Select Committee for 2016, which published a report into Racism and Religious Discrimination against young people. I’m looking forward to building on the work I have done up to this point, and am excited to be part of the important work of the UKYA’s.
